Urine Drug Testing
Urine Drug Testing
The Instrumented rapid 5-panel test includes testing for the presence of Marijuana, Phencyclidine, Opiates, Amphetamines, and Cocaine. Specimen collection and testing is provided at in-network clinics, utilizing proprietary, state-of-art equipment. Average results turnaround time is approximately 15 minutes for confirmed negative results and 24-72 hours, if further lab-based confirmation testing is required.
The gold standard of substance abuse testing for uses not regulated by the Department of Transportation, the Non-DOT lab-based drug screening is the preferred choice for many employers for use in the Drug-free Workplace programs. Employers may select from a wide variety of test panel configurations to meet their specific needs, varying from a standard five (5) panel test for Marijuana, Phencyclidine, Opiates, Amphetamines, and Cocaine to custom expanded tests to include many prescription drugs of abuse and new “designer” drugs. The donor provides their specimen at any of over 10,000 in-network clinics nationwide. It is then sent to the laboratory for testing, with results available, on average, in 24 to 48 hours. Lab-confirmed positive results can then be forwarded to our Medical Review Officer (MRO) for review. The process is further simplified by utilizing ePassport and electronic scheduling, eliminating the need for paper chain of custody forms.
When Department of Transportation guidelines mandate a DOT lab-based drug screen, AccuSource facilitates testing through one of our over 10,000 in-network clinics nationwide. DOT approved testing includes split specimen collection and testing for 5 standard substances, Marijuana, Phencyclidine, Opiates, Amphetamines, and Cocaine, with expanded Amphetamine panel to include testing for MDMA (ecstasy) and expanded Opiates panel to include 6AM (heroin.) Electronic scheduling and eCOC (chain of custody) are now available for this service, simplifying planning. Specimens are sent to one of our SAMHSA/NIDA-certified laboratories for processing. Results are available, on average, in 24 to 48 hours. All results are then forwarded to our MRO for review, to ensure DOT regulatory compliance.
